Evidence based approaches to research capability building highlight consistently the role that leadership plays in the development of a culture of research which facilitates and supports capability building.

Whilst considerable resource can be invested in the development of individuals unless they are working in a culture which actively supports and promotes research the full investment will not be realised in terms of improvements to patient care and clinical outcomes.

This work stream within Releasing Potential is designed therefore to support service and team leaders.
