Centre for Transformation in Health and Well-being. The Centre for Transformation in Health and Well-being has been established to: · Commission high quality research of relevance to the NHS. · Facilitate collaborative working to develop innovative bids for research funding. · Support evidence based practice through training and workforce development. The R&D Team at NHS North West play a key role in supporting the development of the overall design of the Centre and in leading the research component. NHS North West has recently commissioned a research project to develop and test a toolkit to support commissioners and providers in delivering evidence based interventions in food and nutrition, mental health and well-being and physical activity. The R&D Team in collaboration with the Centre has also delivered a Catalyst Event to support the development of bids for research funding to look at childhood obesity and obesity and maternity.
