I currently split my time between being the clinical lead physiotherapist for respiratory and critical care in the NHS and a physiotherapy lecturer in Liverpool. I have 20+ years experience in physiotherapy and not a lot in lecturing. The ECR pathway helped me move into academia.

Research Experience and Background
I completed my MRes in 2024. I regularly take on the role of Principal Investigator at my trust and up until recently worked within the research team with the aim to increase NMAHP involvement in research. Just been through ethics approval for a study looking at swallow dysfunction in critical care

What motivates you to become a mentor?
I love my lecturer role because it involves supporting and helping people become great physios. I feel like this would be a similar feeling
