What is the LHP Researcher Development Programme?
This is a unique, fully funded opportunity for health and social care professionals working in the Merseyside and Cheshire regions who have the drive and ambition to become a future research leader.
Delivered in partnership between Liverpool Health Partners and NHS R&D North West, the programme offers structured support over 12 months, including:
- Monthly workshops
- Group coaching and mentoring
- Expert speakers
- A personal network of like-minded practitioners
The programme is open to a wide range of professionals including registered nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists, psychologists, clinical scientists, social workers, mental health practitioners, and academic partners from Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Who should apply?
This programme is designed for people who:
- Work in healthcare or research delivery and are new to research
- Are employed by LHP partner organisations or organisations within the Merseyside and Cheshire regions
- Are educated to degree level
- Can demonstrate a significant interest and commitment to health and social care research
- Have full support from their employing organisation and can commit to two study days per month
