The InRes Pilot Programme has just wrapped up, marking a significant milestone for our first cohort of aspiring health and care researchers. Over several months, participants immersed themselves in a carefully crafted series of workshops designed to build research skills, foster community, and ignite curiosity. Here’s a look back at what made this journey special—and what we learned along the way.
The InRes Pilot Programme was launched to introduce aspiring health and care professionals to the world of research. Over several months, our first cohort took part in a series of interactive workshops covering research fundamentals, reflective practice, learning styles, creativity in research, and collaborative skills. With a blend of practical activities, group discussions, and peer support—captured on our shared Miro board—participants built confidence and connections, laying a strong foundation for future research careers.
“I never realised how much creativity plays a role in research until the ‘Connecting the Dots’ activity—suddenly, ideas started flowing!”
“Working together on Miro made it easy to share thoughts and support each other, even outside the workshops.“
“The reflective pauses helped me see my own growth. I’ve started using these techniques in my day-to-day work.“
Celebration Day:
The InRes Pilot Programme concluded with a vibrant Celebration Day, bringing together participants, mentors, and supporters. The event was filled with inspiring stories, reflections on personal growth, and a real sense of community. It was a fitting finale to months of learning and collaboration, and a launchpad for the next steps in our participants’ research journeys.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the InRes Pilot such a success!
