Stop Motion Animation Workshops

When and where?

The workshop was held on 27th October in Manchester, Room 2, University of Manchester.

Due to high demand we also added 2nd February 2017, Redbank House, Manchester.

Aim & content:

A creative opportunity to learn how to make short animated films to communicate your research and development messages!

Our one day stop-motion animation workshop helped attendees improve the way they communicated their work with colleagues, patients, and the public! Whether it’s to convey a report findings, a request for information, operational requirements, or just a presentation of facts and figures, attendees were surprised at how impactive and engaging stop-motion animation could make their communication.

The cost of this one day opportunity was just £85 including all tutoring, materials and lunch!

What is stop motion?

Stop motion is an animation technique that physically manipulates an object that appears to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.
