We’re thrilled to share the accomplishments of Becky Brown, participant of Social Care internship 2023/2024! Becky, a registered social worker and current Service Manager for the Cheshire & Merseyside Assessment Hub, is leading impactful research in child protection.
We’re proud to highlight the outstanding contributions of Becky Brown, participant of our work programme, whose research is making waves in the field of social work. Becky has been instrumental in driving evidence-based practice for Family Time decision-making for children in care.
Since completing the programme, Becky has:
- Presented her paper at the Joint Social Work Education and Research Conference in June 2024.
- Delivered presentations to the Local Family Justice Board and Directors of Children’s Services in the Northwest.
- Developed a Family Time Decision-Making Tool, now adopted by six Local Authorities, with interest from three more.
- Partnered with ParentAssess, who have integrated her tool into their national Toolbox.
- Created a video to disseminate her research widely, supporting training and professional development efforts. Click here to view the video.
Becky is also featured in the upcoming Making Research Count webinar (See the flyer for details) on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, where she will share her findings and the development process behind the tool.
