Publications

Annette co-authored the publication titled Alternative use of vitrification warming media to successfully thaw previously slow frozen Pronuclear (PN) human embryos. This research evaluated alternative media products for embryo thaw survival and blastocyst formation following the withdrawal of the original media kit, with implications for optimizing embryo thawing protocols in clinical settings.

Reflections on the NHS R&D NW Programme

Annette credits the programme for equipping her with the tools to confidently initiate, lead, and complete research projects. She gained a deeper understanding of clinical research’s impact on improving patient care, the importance of reducing research timescales, and enhancing leadership skills in managing and motivating her team. The internship has empowered her to embed research within the patient journey and foster a culture of innovation in reproductive medicine.
