Amanda Bennet was part of the first cohort of the ECR Development Pathway in 2020, which set her on a remarkable journey. After completing a NWC ARC internship, she embarked on a PhD studentship through the EDEPI Project, discovered via NHS R&D NW.
Now in the second year of her part-time PhD, Amanda’s research is innovative in its design—a partnership between a local Trust and HEI. As part of her job plan, she is released from clinical duties for 10 hours a week to focus on this groundbreaking work.
Her research investigates race, ethnicity, and cultural influences on health inequalities in the diagnosis and management of Fibromyalgia within Cheshire and Mersey. Amanda has already had the privilege of presenting her findings regionally and internationally.
Congratulations, Amanda, on your inspiring achievements!
