Let’s Talk Research Conference 4: Building Community (2017)

Building on the success of the conferences in 2014, 2015 and 2016, 14th September 2017 saw the 4th annual Let’s Talk Research conference take place at the Royal Northern College of Music and was attended by over 150 health care professionals.  A challenging range of keynote speeches were delivered from some of the leading UK and North West health and academic leaders, including; Professor Alison Chambers,Professor Jennie Popay, Julian Stood, Warren Heppolette and the highlyacclaimed Lemn Sissay MBE.  Streams of workshops were designed to improve professional and personal impact – at any stage of a research career.  In addition, there was a poster presentation from the newly qualified cohort of HEE/NIHR ICA interns, interactive Q&A sessions and community spaces.  This 1 day event gave healthcare professionals, researchers and academics even more opportunities to hear and discuss research, learn new tools and techniques and strengthen the region’s healthcare research community.  For further information on the conference please contact Joanne.simpson@researchnorthwest.nhs.uk.  A series of films from the 2017 conference is available to view on from our YouTube playlist below:
